An Establishment Statement
In the 35 years of Japanese colonial rule, the Korean War and the history of poverty for more than two years, and despite being a divided country, Korea has quickly become one of the top 20 soft power countries in Asia. In addition, at the 2021 United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), 195 member countries unanimously upgraded Korea from a developing country to an advanced country. In this way, Korea became the only newly independent country after World War II and the only country to enter the developed world from an underdeveloped country since the establishment of the United Nations Trade Development Council in 1964.
Our Efforts
We are well aware that the Republic of Korea's remarkable development has not been achieved through our efforts alone. These include the independence fighters who fought for independence without sacrificing their lives, the 16 countries and 46 medical and aid support countries that directly participated during the Korean War, and the soldiers of the armed forces who fought for the country with their lives and did not pass on poverty to their descendants. This was possible because of our grandfathers, grandmothers, fathers, and mothers who worked day and night with sweat and tears with an indomitable will.
Our Spirit
In particular, export was the only way to survive in Korea, which was divided into a small territory and lacked sufficient resources. In this situation, starting in 1975, there were companies that stood at the forefront of Korea's import and export, traveling the world in the 1980s and 1990s. It was a general manager. The total trading company, which said, "We deal in everything from needles to missiles," was a pioneer traveling around the world to develop new markets and secure customers, and was a leading player in Korea's barren export market.
The secret to Korea's success was this will to succeed and pioneering spirit.{alertSuccess}
Our Reality
However, we cannot be satisfied here and now. We have to overcome our narrow territory, overcome the limits of our narrow domestic market, and survive in increasingly fierce competition between countries.
Our Vision
Accordingly, the Korean Center Global Network will establish 80 Korean centers with 30 educational institutions in more than 10 countries by 2030, contributing to Korea becoming a soft power and a world leader with good educational, economic, and cultural influence.
Korea is the Brand.
